stateful-node-without-zone-redundancy
A stateful compute node pinned to exactly one availability zone disappears with that zone, and its state goes with it. Nodes inside a cell are exempt, because there the cell is deliberately single-zone and redundancy comes from the other cells.
- — all of these hold:
- — the node's `stateless` is false
- — the node sits inside exactly 1 availability-zone group
- — this does not hold:
- — the node sits inside at least one cell group

# yaml-language-server: $schema=../../schema/component.schema.json # AWS Cloud9: browser-based IDE whose environment is backed either by an EC2 instance AWS creates and # manages ("EC2 environment") or by an existing server ("SSH environment"). Per "Creating an EC2 # Environment" the network setting chooses between Systems Manager access with no inbound ports and # SSH with open inbound ports, and the Timeout setting auto-hibernates the instance after inactivity. # Maintenance since 25 July 2024: "AWS Cloud9 is no longer available to new customers." schemaVersion: "1" type: "component" id: "aws-cloud9" kind: "virtual-desktop" provider: "aws" docs: "https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cloud9/latest/user-guide/create-environment-main.html" defaults: sessionMode: "personal" persistentProfiles: true managed: true properties: environmentType: type: "enum" values: ["ec2", "ssh"] platform: type: "enum" values: ["amazon-linux-2023", "amazon-linux-2", "ubuntu-22-04"] networkAccess: type: "enum" values: ["systems-manager", "ssh"] autoHibernation: type: "boolean" default: true
